Congratulations to all 3 DMOTY finalists, Matt Purdie & Sons Ltd – Bathgate, Matt Purdie & Sons Ltd – Kilmarnock and M.J.Christophers & Son.

Although no forms have been designed at present we have been in further discussions with Destiny to discuss the technicalities and to get some draught costs on our ideas. The first thing we had to take into consideration was whether to use Dynamic or Non-Dynamic forms.
A Dynamic form is where data is passed from Move Administer to Destiny in the first instance. This then allows Destiny to not only print this data onto the digital forms but also merge and display it once data has been received from the Digital Pen.
A Non-Dynamic form has no interaction from Move Administer and cannot print onto the digital forms. However, Move Administer can print data onto the digital forms, but please note, this data cannot be merged or displayed with the data received from the Digital Pen.

Destiny Digital Pens
On February 21st in a meeting room at Old Thorns in sunny Hampshire, Tom Thiselton from Destiny Wireless presented to a group of 22 attendees the benefits of using Digital Pens in today’s workplace.
After a good intake of caffeine, the morning sessions kicked off with Tom giving an introduction to both Destiny Wireless and the technology of the Digital Pens including Anoto technology. Tom then proceeded to provide a ‘live’ demonstration of the pen in action, by completing a document and the transferring the data captured by the Digital Pen to his Blackberry via Bluetooth and then from the Blackberry to Destiny’s server. Using his laptop he logged into the Destiny server to display the captured form. Not only did Tom display the captured form but he also showed an electronic version of the form, where his handwriting was converted to text, where any misinterpretations could then be corrected, but as the pen learns your handwriting gestures over time it was indeed spot on.
After a hearty lunch break which included some stunning desserts, those wanting to discuss the Digital Pens in further detail stayed behind to share information they currently gather on their survey sheets and to discuss other forms that could be digitised.
All in all it was a great day, which ended back where it really began 24 hours previously, in the Sports Bar although only for a swift alcoholic beverage this time around.

After searching long and hard for a crate hire solution, Specalised Movers turn to our Crate Administer module.
Crate Administer allows you to charge for the hire of crate and other items (sack trucks, computer cages, etc) as well as charging for the sale of consumables (security tags, labels, keyboard bags, etc). Dockets immediately show what needs to be delivered and/or collected, and display on our Event Diary for easy resource management.
Bearsby’s of Tonbridge in Kent are the latest company to enhance their operations by adding our Archive Administer module.
Archive Administer was brought in as a low cost solution to complete Archive/Records Management, cataloguing information on items, and contents (if required), in one central system.
Fast Forward have enhanced their current Move Administer system with the addition of our Archive Administer module.
Archive Administer was purchased not only to replace their existing solution but to allow complete Archive/Records Management, cataloguing information on items, and contents (if required), in one central system. Data was converted from their previous solution into Archive Administer and a brief training session was perfommed remotely online.
The latest updates to Move Administer, and more importantly Survey Administer, allow surveyors to carry less paperwork during MOD surveys as Survey Administer now allows the capture of responses to the Insurance and AU Authorisation Declarations required by Agility Logistics on the Tablet device when used to collate an inventory of items to move.
The responses are exported from Survey Administer and back into Move Administer where the documentation can be printed with ease.
Survey Administer also allows these declarations to be printed onsite should the need arise.
Our offices will close at 1PM on Friday, December 23rd and will reopen at 9:00AM on Tuesday, January 3rd. However, should you unfortunately be working during this period and require assistance then please send an email in the first instance to support@administersoftware.co.uk . Should your needs be urgent please telephone our mobile (the number is shown on the footer of our emails ).
Wising you and your company a very Merry Christmas and prosperous new year, we look forward to being of service to you again in 2012!
